Rainbow Children Of Hope 25th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

This Thanksgiving, Camden County OEO joined forces with The Rainbow Children of Hope, founded by Mrs. Dianna Jones, for the 25th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. Held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at our 538 Broadway facility, this special event welcomed the homeless, the less fortunate, and members of our community to share a warm meal and celebrate the season of giving. The event took place in the 2nd-floor gym from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and it was a wonderful evening filled with gratitude and community spirit.

Mrs. Jones, now 80 years young, has dedicated her life to helping others. For over two decades, she has hosted this Thanksgiving dinner, making a difference for countless people in Camden and Philadelphia. Beyond this event, she has organized Back-to-School giveaways, summer block parties, and other programs that bring joy and hope. Over the years, she has fostered more than 30 children, operated a childcare center in Camden, and even completed her Head Start Provider training with Camden County OEO back in 1996.

Her tireless efforts have been recognized by many, including the Camden City School District and local government agencies. Mrs. Jones is truly an inspiration, showing us all what it means to have a heart of gold. This year’s dinner marked 25 years of her incredible work, and we were proud to stand beside her to help make the event a success.

We want to thank the local businesses and volunteers who donated time and resources to make this celebration possible. Events like these show the power of community and the importance of working together. If you’d like to get involved in future events or learn more about Mrs. Jones and her amazing work, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to make a difference!
